Lararium AI Industries Pty Ltd (ABN 74 697 973 103), trading as VESTA

The short version. We collect what VESTA needs to help run your household, and nothing more. We don't sell your information, we don't use it for advertising, and you can ask us to delete it at any time. To understand and answer you, VESTA sends what you say to a small number of named service providers, some of them overseas. This policy explains exactly what, where and why.

1. Who we are

VESTA is a voice-first household assistant for iPhone, made by Lararium AI Industries Pty Ltd, a Queensland company (“we”, “us”). We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. For users in New Zealand, we also handle your information in line with the Privacy Act 2020 (NZ).

This policy covers the VESTA iPhone app (including the TestFlight beta) and this website, myvesta.ai.

2. What we collect

VESTA is designed never to store physical security credentials such as alarm codes, gate codes or door PINs. Please don't give them to her.

3. How we collect it

VESTA only listens when you open the app or start her with your iPhone's voice shortcut. She doesn't record in the background.

4. Why we use it

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for advertising or share it with advertisers.

5. Sensitive information

Running a household sometimes means mentioning health appointments, medications or other sensitive matters. If you choose to tell VESTA about them, we handle that information with your consent and only to help you — for example, to remind you of an appointment. VESTA is not a health service and does not give medical, psychological or financial advice.

6. Children in your household

VESTA accounts are opened by adults. A parent or guardian may invite children in their household and set a role that limits what they can see and do. Information about children is used only to run the household features the parent has set up. We will update this policy as the Children's Online Privacy Code takes effect in Australia.

7. Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run VESTA. They process information on our behalf and only for the purposes below.

We may also disclose information where required by law, or to professional advisers under confidentiality. If our business is sold or restructured, your information may transfer to the new owner under this policy.

8. Overseas disclosure

Our main database is hosted in Australia. To understand and answer you, VESTA sends information to Anthropic, OpenAI and ElevenLabs, which process it in the United States and possibly other countries. Railway, Apple and Netlify may also process information outside Australia. We choose providers with strong security practices and contractual commitments, and we send them only what they need.

9. Storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls that keep each household's data separate, restricted staff access, and logging of administrative access. No system is perfectly secure, but we design VESTA on the basis that your household's information deserves care.

10. How long we keep it

11. Access, correction and deletion

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email admin@myvesta.ai. We'll confirm we've received your request within 7 days and respond within 30 days. There's no charge.

You can also delete your account from inside the VESTA app.

12. Data breaches

If a data breach is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify affected people and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme (and the NZ Privacy Commissioner where applicable).

13. Questions and complaints

Contact us about privacy at admin@myvesta.ai, or write to Lararium AI Industries Pty Ltd, Darra QLD 4076, Australia. We'll respond within 30 days.

If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992. In New Zealand, contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

14. Changes to this policy

We'll update this policy as VESTA grows. If we make a significant change, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
